Dissecting Bullshit Memes for their base Formula and further Weaponisation

Let’s start with a randomly fetched Bullshit Meme from the quagmire:
“Since when do planets do have problems? And supposing they do, where do they go to to have them solved? Or do they rather solve them themselves? Which problems Mercury, Venus, Jupiter or Saturn do have?” was my first thought reading this nonsense. Memes like this are designed to make you dumb. But they are catchy as fuck. Time to distill the antidote for such thought-pollution and intelligence-abrasion.
Linguistical and Mathematical formula of the Bullshit Meme
Meme Logic Formula:
Take a basic, high-emotion word (or concept) → e.g. "problem"
Equate it with something it is not equal to (category error / false equivalence) → e.g. "CO₂ problem" equated to "psychopathic genocidal oligarchy problem"
Loop back to the beginning with a third element as the new source → the third element becomes the "real" cause/source, restarting the emotional engine.
In the original meme it looks like this:
High-emotion starter: "Problem" (everyone hates problems)
False equation: Planet has a CO₂ problem
Replacement: No — planet has a psychopathic genocidal oligarchy problem
Loop: The oligarchy is now the new high-emotion source. Implicitly: "Therefore, fix the oligarchy and the planet is saved" (even though the meme never says the fix).
It's a classic bait-and-switch + emotional hijack + infinite loop setup. Now we know the BS Meme runs on the energy of emotion. So the full formula, stripped of content, is:
"X is not the real Y. The real Y is Z."
→ where Z is emotionally hotter, more agentic (someone to blame), and restarts the emotional engine.
The original meme is just one instance where:
X = Planet's issue
Y = Problem
Z = Psychopathic genocidal oligarchy
We have dissected the BS out of the formula, we now haven proven that the formula is built on the nonsense of “X equals Z”, but X is not equal to Z. The meme therefore is an emotional/psychic energy vampire. Linguistically, the variables are interchangeable by the terms used randomly. It does not matter. Let’s apply:
"This formula does not have an oligarchy problem.
This formula has a psychopathic genocidal pattern addiction problem."
or:
"The planet does not have a CO₂ problem.
The planet has a psychopathic genocidal 'X is not the real Y' formula problem.".
We still yet need to map the allowable classification transgression treshold, that is the range of endured, or accepted state of cognitive dissonance of or within the reader of the meme. Examples:
Low transgression (still inside normal meme logic): "The planet does not have a CO₂ problem. The planet has a psychopathic genocidal oligarchy problem."
→ Acceptable inside the formula. Z is a human power structure. Emotional but coherent category.
Medium transgression: "The planet does not have a CO₂ problem. The planet has a psychopathic genocidal Sprite-drinker problem."
→ Here the classification jumps from a trace gas → a specific consumer behavior. One sip of Sprite = moral complicity in planetary destruction. This is where the threshold starts to get visible.
Maximum absurdity (formula eating itself): "The planet does not have a CO₂ problem. The planet has a psychopathic genocidal anyone-who-ever-used-the-word-’CO2 problem' problem."
The formula is stabilised by the anchor of Y. X and Z can be mapped in emotional intensity by a bell curve. What we get is a mathematical spherical geometry, with Y at its centerpoint. The formula collapses to ineffectiveness, when Y is at zero, because no emotional energy can be interchanged anymore. The Y-curve becomes the emotional anchor stretching/exchanging. What we are looking at, is a synthesizer with three knobs or dials: X, Z, Y.
The 3 Dimensions of the Meme Synthesizer
X-dimension – The Subject (what the sentence is about)
Y-dimension – The Emotional Anchor (the stable negative label)
Z-dimension – The Replacement Villain (the new blamed thing)
Verbs, adjectives, etc.
They are not separate dimensions. They only add vibe/frequency/emotional color (like gain or distortion on a synthesizer). They modulate the signal but do not create new axes. Example: "psychopathic genocidal" = high distortion on the Z knob.
In short: X and Z live in the world of things (measurable, classifiable). Y lives in the world of feelings (universal, but inherently vague and stretchable).
Y is two things at the same time:
Y is a vector (it has direction and strength)
→ It always points in the negative/emotional direction ("bad", "urgent", "dangerous"). Its strength can be weak ("issue") or very strong ("catastrophe").Y is a function (it does work on X and Z)
→ Its job is to take X and force it into the negative emotional world, then attach Z as the new villain. In plain words: Y is the "charger" or "pre-charge" that makes the whole sentence feel like a moral emergency.
"X is not Z"→ Y = 0. The formula works best with a high emotional pre-charge of Y within the reader.
Goal: the Synthesizer creates a new kind of meme that:
Keeps Y alive (non-zero emotional charge)
Instead, it mirrors the pre-charge in the reader
Creates a sudden logic break
Turns the laugh inward
Example:
"I dont have a boyfriend problem. I have a sick narcissicistic ego inflated hyper male dick partner problem.".
Now we dial Y to near zero, and use the emotionally low pre-charge term “pattern”:
"I don't have a boyfriend pattern. I have a sick narcissistic ego-inflated hyper-male dick partner pattern.".
You see how this BS meme formula works and can be weaponised. You just need to dial the emotional value of Y to the desired degree. X and Y dont actually care about the terms put in there.
Have fun with it; dont drink and drive!
